Poppa walked into the National Corvette Museum, sniffed the air, and said "Ahhh... TESTOSTERONE!"
(whatever that means)
He took a couple picture for himself...
Then a neat bed for us:
(Remind me to tell you about that "neat bed" in the RV from the other day - turns out it's not ours!)
Then he put us to work on the assembly line:
Then back to pictures for himself:
And a final picture on the way out of the latest Corvette:
Poppa LOVED this car, but kept mumbling something about "compensating",whatever that means.
We left there and drove into Bowling Green, Kentucky. They seem to have lots of stuff, but no bowling green!
They have a neat town square:
and we found someone to read a story to us:
and a zebra for Frankie:
We left the town square and waited in the car while Nana and Poppa toured the Corsair Artisan Distillery. Unca Damon would like visiting these guys. They started out as home-brewers in college and then said "OK, we made beer, let's distill it and make whiskey." And they're having a blast! Poppa had his first taste of absinthe! He say "absinthe makes the heart grow fonder", whatever that means.
After that, we drove around the Western Kentucky University campus where Nana went to college a few years ago. She must not have been very popular or very hygienic, because every semester she had a new room-mate, and every year she was in a different dormitory.
Anyway, it's a beautiful campus.
More tomorrow.
