Rest/laundry/groceries day at Zion

This city moved in next to us at the campground, all 43 feet of it:

Poppa went next door and asked to meet the mayor. They didn't think it was funny.

I showed him this picture and asked how those people would feel if we moved our truck and trailer in next to them. Poppa said they'd probably come over and ask to see the mayor:

We went to Laverkin for groceries today. Nana says I'm eating them out of house and trailer (whatever that means):

I love to watch these pink roadside grasses blow in the wind. If Poppa ever figures out YouTube, I can show you video of the grasses blowing in the wind:

Nana said I should know better than to play by the side of the road, so I got sent to timeout:

We drove 23 miles up Kolob Canyon today, starting right across the street from the campground. We started at 3,486 feet of elevation and ended up at 8,129 feet. The canyon has beautiful sandstone sides and a black volcanic rock tongue running down the middle of it. The vegetation goes from desert sagebrush scrub to juniper to greener plants to grassy meadows to ponderosa pines to big groves of aspen. At the top is a reservoir. Here are some pictures:

Someone with a lot of money is building this house:

This is part of their view (the white trailers are for the construction crew):

Tomorrow we go to Las Vegas, Nevada. If I had a lucky shirt (or any shirt), I'd wear it.
